What is kidney failure?
The kidneys are considered vital organs of the human body. Typically, humans have two kidneys located in the lower back, on either side of the spine. Their primary function is to filter waste products such as urea and creatinine—from the blood and produce urine. Kidney failure occurs when the kidneys become unable to perform these functions. Today, many people suffer from kidney failure; the main causes include diabetes, high blood pressure, dietary changes, and low water intake.
